Ohio U.S. Senate election, 2028

Ohio's Class III Senate seat is on the ballot on November 7, 2028. It's held now by Jon Husted (Republican), appointed to the seat; the winner of the Nov 3, 2026 special election serves until January 2029, and the seat is up again in 2028.

Filed with the FEC for 2028

No one has reported raising at least $5,000 for this seat yet.

Anyone can appear here by filing a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission; it is not a spot on the ballot, and the parties' nominees won't be chosen until 2028. A sitting senator's campaign committee is registered for their next election by default, which doesn't by itself mean they've announced a run.
