What SpectrumVote is

SpectrumVote is a free, nonpartisan information tool. It shows races and measures that may be on your ballot and places candidates on a left–right spectrum using published academic research and clearly labeled AI estimates. It isn't affiliated with any government, election office, party, candidate or campaign, and it never endorses anyone.

Not an official ballot or election guidance

Ballot contents, candidate lists, dates, hours and locations come from public sources and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Always confirm with your official sample ballot and your county elections office before you vote. Nothing here is legal advice. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on the site.

Scores and estimates

Placements are a starting point, not a verdict. Academic scores reflect past votes or past donors; AI estimates can be mistaken and show their confidence and sources. See how SpectrumVote works. If you think something is wrong, email support@spectrumvote.com and we'll check it.

Using the site and data

Links to other sites

We link to candidate websites, Wikipedia, election offices, news reports and other sites we don't control and aren't responsible for. A link isn't an endorsement.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We may change or discontinue features at any time. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
