How this page is built
- Seats: the Senate's own member list gives each senator's class; Class III is up in 2028.
- Candidates: Federal Election Commission filings for the 2028 election, listed once a filer reports raising at least $5,000. Anyone can appear here by filing a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission; it is not a spot on the ballot, and the parties' nominees won't be chosen until 2028. A sitting senator's campaign committee is registered for their next election by default, which doesn't by itself mean they've announced a run.
- Removed: a committee still registered for a seat its candidate no longer holds (a former senator now in another office) isn't listed.
- Governors, state offices and ballot questions for 2028 will be added once states publish them.
