In one paragraph
SpectrumVote (spectrumvote.com) is a free, nonpartisan ballot lookup for the November 3, 2026 U.S. election. Enter an address to see every race and ballot measure on that ballot, from governor down to school board and soil and water districts, with each candidate placed on the same left–right scale using published academic research, and plain-language explanations of what a YES or NO vote does. Every fact links to its source. It has no ads, no accounts and no endorsements.

How it stays nonpartisan
- Placements come from published research: DW-NOMINATE (Voteview, UCLA) for Congress, Shor–McCarty for state legislators and DIME CFscores (Stanford) for nearly everyone else.
- AI fills gaps, labeled. Where no academic score exists, an AI model reads only the candidate's own record, is never told their party, and shows its confidence. Its exact instructions are public.
- Equal treatment: the same rules for every candidate, and each side of a ballot question in its own words.
- Never calls races or endorses anyone. On election night it shows unofficial results from official feeds, clearly labeled.
- Audited in public: a fairness report, a corrections log and every change are published.
Who's behind it
SpectrumVote is built by Seth, an IT manager in Seminole County, Florida, working with Claude, Anthropic's AI model. It takes no money from candidates, campaigns, parties or PACs, and is funded by its founder and small donations. Cloudflare supports it with free Business-level service through Project Galileo.
