Village of Alsip — Term Limits (Cook County)

Ballot measure · November 3, 2026 · Alsip voters

What it does
Shall the Village of Alsip modify its current term limits so that no person shall be eligible to seek election to, or hold the office of Village President (Mayor), Village Clerk, or Village Trustee if that person has already served four (4) consecutive four-year terms in that specific office, rather than the current limit of three (3) consecutive four-year terms?
A YES vote means
Alsip's term limit for Village President, Village Clerk and Village Trustee would change from three to four consecutive four-year terms in the same office.
A NO vote means
Alsip's term limit would stay at three consecutive four-year terms.
Needed to pass
A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
Left–right lean
Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).

The YES and NO lines are SpectrumVote's plain-language reading of the official text above; the official text is what you vote on.
