Background
The Elmbrook Board of Education voted on July 14, 2026 to place a $100 million school facility referendum on the November 3 ballot, according to a district announcement.
The district describes the project as a four-school renovation at Pilgrim Park Middle, Tonawanda Elementary, Swanson Elementary and Wisconsin Hills Middle schools, the centerpiece of its 20-Year Facilities Plan (2026-2045).
The district says that in an April 2026 survey, 67% of likely voters among 2,941 respondents supported this option, and that timing the debt to the retirement of 2008 high school project debt gives an estimated tax impact of $11 per $100,000 of property value.
