Background
Chicago City Clerk
Has served as Chicago City Clerk since January 2017, when she was appointed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel; elected in 2019 and re-elected unopposed in 2023. Previously led the mayor's Legislative Counsel and Government Affairs team and worked as a campaign manager, field director and state senate communications staffer. Ran for Illinois Secretary of State in 2022. Holds a degree in international studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
