Background
Photographer; chair, 1st Police District Council
Elected to the 1st Police District Council in February 2023, in a race with two candidates for three seats; currently serves as the council's chair. Previously worked in Congress and on a 2008 presidential campaign. Co-founded ChiWomenVote and IllinoisWomenVote, was a 2012 Fulbright Scholar to India, and has served on advisory councils for New Politics, ProPublica, and The Chicago Brewseum.
