Background

President, Columbus City Council

Appointed to Columbus City Council in 2014, won the seat in 2015, and has served as council president since 2018. Grew up in the Southfield neighborhood on the South Side and represents District 9 on the East Side. Announced his run for mayor on August 20, 2026.
