How it works
- The City Council moved Dallas's city elections from May to November of odd years (Resolution 25-1776, November 12, 2025); 2027 is the first November election.
- Nonpartisan. Dallas's charter limits the mayor to two consecutive terms.
- A runoff, if needed, falls on a Saturday set by the Secretary of State.
