What local offices are elected in Colorado?
Each county elects a board of commissioners (three in most counties, five in the largest), a clerk and recorder, treasurer, assessor, sheriff, coroner and surveyor. County races are partisan. Denver and Broomfield are combined city-counties that elect a mayor and council instead, and Denver also elects its clerk and recorder and auditor. Cities and towns elect their own councils, and school districts elect their boards.
