What local offices are elected in North Dakota?
Each county elects a board of county commissioners (three or five) and its county officers: a sheriff and, in most counties, a state's attorney, auditor, treasurer and recorder (many counties combine them, such as an auditor/treasurer), and in a few a clerk of district court. County races are nonpartisan, with four-year terms. Cities and school districts elect their boards in June.
