Background

Coolidge Unified School District says that if voters approve, its first bond sale would be $13 million, with later sales based on need. It says the full $39 million may not need to be sold.

The district says a no vote would lower the secondary tax rate in 2027 from $1.23 to $0.98, and that it is not recommending major program cuts if the bond fails.

The district says projects would be chosen at a public board work session. Those under consideration include paying off an energy performance contract, baseball and softball complex improvements, interior work at Heartland Ranch, playground shade, mobile metal detectors and bus replacement.
