Background
According to the Yavapai County School Superintendent's voter information pamphlet, the Cottonwood-Oak Creek Governing Board called this bond election after a 2023 districtwide facilities assessment.
The pamphlet says bond proceeds may pay for safety and security improvements including districtwide public address systems, HVAC, plumbing, well and septic work, lighting, roofing, sidewalks and parking lots.
The pamphlet estimates the cost at $123 a year for 22 years, or $2,706 in total, for a home valued by the County Assessor at $250,000.
The pamphlet contains arguments for the bond and notes that no arguments against were submitted.
