Background

Proposition 410 puts to voters Chino Valley Ordinance No. 2026-965, which the Mayor and Common Council passed on February 24, 2026. It is the subject of Referendum 26-01, according to the town's voter guide.

The ordinance rezones about 390 acres east of East Perkinsville Road and Forest Service Road 318A from single-family residential with 2-acre lots (SR-2) to agricultural residential with 36-acre lots (AR-36).

The ordinance says the rezoning depends on the property owner meeting the conditions in Resolution No. 2026-1303, and that the council may revert the zoning to SR-2 if they are not met.

The town's voter guide lists the public meetings on the ordinance: Planning & Zoning on January 6 and February 3, a joint study session on January 20, and Town Council meetings on February 23 and 24, 2026.
