- What it does
- Shall the Town of Cheshire appropriate $1,000,000 for acquisition of land for recreational, open space, conservation, educational and/or municipal purposes and authorize the issue of $1,000,000 bonds and notes to finance the appropriation, the amount of such bonds and notes to be reduced by the amount of project grants received?
- A YES vote means
- Cheshire would spend $1,000,000 to buy land for recreation, open space, conservation, education or town use and could issue up to that amount in bonds and notes, reduced by any grants received.
- A NO vote means
- Cheshire would not approve this $1,000,000 spending or bond authorization for land purchases.
- Needed to pass
- A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
- Left–right lean
- Unclear: our AI read of the official summary isn't confident enough (we require 70%) to place this on the left–right spectrum, so we don't. Read the summary and decide for yourself.
