- Columbia County currently provides private Emergency Medical Services(EMS) through a private contractor. The County is considering whether to provide those services through a County department instead. Would you support a new, additional half-cent sales tax where the funds from that tax are restricted for public safety uses such as a County-operated EMS? This is a non-binding straw poll question and does not authorize any tax.
