Background

According to the district's levy resolution, the school plant facilities reserve fund levy would collect up to $3,000,000 a year for 10 years starting July 1, 2027, for a total of $30 million.

The resolution lists allowed uses including improving school sites; building, remodeling or repairing buildings; leasing modular classrooms; and safety, security, heating, ventilation and technology upgrades.

The district says the levy would help it keep up with maintenance, modernize aging systems and address capacity challenges, and it estimates the cost at $24 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value a year.

Put on the ballot by Vallivue School District No. 139 Board of Trustees (adoption date and vote not posted on the district's levy page).
