Background

The West Jefferson School District No. 253 Board of Trustees adopted the levy resolution on August 12, 2026, according to the ballot.

The ballot says all $360,000 a year would go to salaries and benefits for certified and classified staff.

The levy would replace an existing levy that expires June 30, 2027; both cost an estimated $100.73 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, so the ballot says the rate is not expected to change.

Put on the ballot by West Jefferson School District No. 253 Board of Trustees, August 12, 2026 (vote tally not stated).
