Background

According to Lisle Park District's resolution, the Board of Park Commissioners found that the district needs $29,750,000 to replace its existing Community Center with a new Community Activity Center.

The resolution says the new building would include a fitness area with cardio and strength equipment, an indoor walking and jogging track, a multi-court gymnasium, and flexible programming space.

The resolution states the district does not have enough funds on hand and would need to borrow by issuing bonds. Under the Illinois Park District Code, that requires a majority of voters to approve. The board adopted the resolution on August 10, 2026.

Put on the ballot by Lisle Park District Board of Park Commissioners, vote not stated, August 10, 2026 (Resolution 081026).
