About Ruth Hatcher

Retired WCC writing and literature instructor. Hatcher taught writing and literature at Washtenaw Community College for 30 years, chaired the English/Writing Department, served in interim administrative roles, and was president of the faculty association. An Ann Arbor resident since 1971, she has served on the Ann Arbor Community Foundation, Greenhills School and Shelter Association of Washtenaw County boards. She was elected to a second six-year board term in 2020 and is board secretary.
