Background
Red Wing Public Schools says the single ballot question combines a $12.86 million building bond for Sunnyside Elementary improvements with a 10-year capital projects levy for facilities, curriculum and technology.
The district estimates the tax impact at about $9 a month on an average-value home in the district.
The district says the proposal came out of more than a year of study and input from families, staff, childcare providers and community members. It says the School Board identified opportunities to strengthen early learning and better organize district facilities.
