Background
The Robbinsdale Area Schools Board of Education approved three bond referendum questions for the November 3, 2026 ballot, according to a district announcement dated July 21, 2026; the district describes them as the next step in its 'Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030' facilities plan.
The district states that most of its buildings are about 60 years old, that it has had more than a decade of enrollment decline, and that it made approximately $26 million in budget reductions over the past three years, including building consolidations.
Question 3 takes effect only if Questions 1 and 2 also pass; according to the district, it would build a new elementary school at the current Robbinsdale Middle School site and further renovate district sites for programs and district-wide services.
