Background

The City of Mounds View says that in March 2026 the City Council agreed to its GOAL Parks Committee's recommendation to put a voter-approved parks bond of $15 million to $20 million on the ballot.

The city says the proposal was split into up to $15 million for Silver View and Woodcrest parks (City Question 1) and up to $5 million for Community Center improvements (this question).

The city says the Community Center improvements being considered include up to two additional indoor courts and a ground-level indoor walking track. It says final scope, design and costs would be set later if voters approve.

The city says its Park Dedication Fund, built from development fees, has been depleted and can no longer keep pace with park infrastructure needs.

Put on the ballot by Mounds View City Council, 2026 (resolution date and vote not found in an online official record).
