Ballot measure · November 3, 2026 · Rocori school district voters

What it does
The school board of Independent School District No. 750 (Rocori School District) has proposed a capital project levy authorization of 1.836% times the net tax capacity of the school district. This authorization would renew the school districts existing authorization which is scheduled to expire after taxes payable in 2027. The proposed capital project levy authorization will raise approximately $497,414 for taxes payable in 2028, the first year it is to be levied, and would be authorized for ten years. The estimated total cost of the projects to be funded over that time period is approximately $4,974,140. The additional revenue from the proposed capital project levy authorization will provide funds for the acquisition, installation, replacement, support and maintenance of software, software licenses, computers, improved technology equipment, networks, infrastructure, and the costs of technology related personnel and training. Background

The ROCORI School Board's July 13, 2026 agenda included a resolution renewing the district's capital project levy for technology, which expires after taxes payable in 2027, and calling a special election. The administration recommended approving it.

The resolution sets the renewed levy at 1.836% of the district's net tax capacity.

WJON reported that Superintendent Kevin Enerson said the levy brings in over $450,000 a year for technology such as servers, building Wi-Fi and student devices, and that renewing it would not change tax rates.

Put on the ballot by ROCORI School Board (ISD 750), July 13, 2026 agenda resolution (posted minutes with the tally not retrievable online).
