Ballot measure · November 3, 2026 · Green Township voters

What it does
Shall the Green Township Committee adopt an Ordinance revising the permitted use of the Open Space Trust Fund monies, currently codified as Section 2-40.1 et seq. of the Green Township Code, to allow up to a maximum of 10% [reduced from 30%] of the total Open Space Trust Fund (as of January 1 of each year) to be utilized for construction and maintenance costs of Open Space properties, only so long as the balance of the Open Space Trust Fund is more than $1,000,000.00 as of January 1 of the year the funds will be used?
A YES vote means
In this non-binding vote, voters would support an ordinance cutting the share of the Open Space Trust Fund that can be used for building and maintaining open space properties from 30% to 10%, and only when the fund has more than $1,000,000 on January 1.
A NO vote means
In this non-binding vote, voters would not support this change to how Open Space Trust Fund money can be used.
Needed to pass
A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
Left–right lean
Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).
