Background
At its June 15, 2026 meeting, the Fabius Town Board discussed lengthening the two-year terms of Town Supervisor, Town Clerk and Highway Superintendent to four years. The minutes say the Town believes the change would provide greater continuity in those offices.
The board voted 5–0 to propose Local Law #1 of 2026 (Resolution #2026-3) and scheduled a public hearing for July 20, 2026.
At the July 20 public hearing no public comment was received, and the board adopted Local Law #1 of 2026 by a 5–0 vote (Resolution #2026-4).
