About Jana Cain
Controller, Deschutes County. Deschutes County's controller since 2021, previously an audit manager at Kernutt Stokes in Bend and a CPA at SGA CPAs, where she says she performed more than 20 audits of local governments. An Oregon-licensed CPA and certified internal auditor with an MBA and accounting degree from the University of Texas at Dallas; she has served on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon board since 2018, including as treasurer and chair.
