What it does
Shall the authorization to acquire, construct, and operate wastewater treatment facilities to provide for the collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater previously granted to Aiken County, South Carolina, in referendums held on September 2, 1976, and November 7, 2006, be modified to authorize and empower Aiken County to acquire, construct, and operate wastewater treatment facilities, to provide wastewater services within and without Aiken County, and to utilize funds from any sources permitted by law for such purposes?
A YES vote means
Aiken County's existing wastewater authority from 1976 and 2006 would be expanded so it could provide wastewater services inside and outside the county and use any legally allowed funds.
A NO vote means
Aiken County's wastewater authority from the 1976 and 2006 referendums would not be modified.
Needed to pass
A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
Left–right lean
Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).

The YES and NO lines are SpectrumVote's plain-language reading of the official text above; the official text is what you vote on.
