- Proposition No. 2 Stevens County Rural Library District Levy Lift For Library Services The Stevens County Rural Library District Board of Trustees adopted Resolution No. 02-2026 concerning its regular property tax levy. This proposition would authorize the District to restore its regular property tax levy rate from $0.27 to $0.44 per $1,000 of assessed value for collection in 2027 to provide continued funding for normal operation and maintenance of public libraries and library services. - A NO vote means

- What it would cost
- 0.44 mills: $44 a year for every $100,000 of taxable value (a mill is $1 per $1,000). Taxable value is after exemptions such as homestead; your tax bill or property appraiser shows yours.
