Background
Voters approved a three-year operational referendum in 2023 that expired at the end of the 2025-26 school year, and in April 2026 voters rejected a $1.8 million operational referendum, according to the district's referendum site.
The district says it cut about $874,864 in 2025, including seven full-time-equivalent positions, and has used fund balance to cover gaps between revenue and operating costs.
The district, using estimates from its financial advisor Baird, puts the tax impact at 31 cents per $1,000 of fair market value, about $62 a year on a $200,000 home.
