Background

The Little Chute Area School Board approved resolutions for two November referendum questions on August 10, 2026: this five-year, $400,000-a-year technology question and a separate $1.95 million facilities bond, according to the district.

Voters have approved technology referendums in 2007, 2012, 2017 and 2022; the current one, $300,000 a year, ends after the 2026-27 school year, and the district says the new question would renew it and raise it to $400,000.

The district estimates the increase over the existing referendum tax rate at $0.10 per $1,000 of property value, about $10 a year per $100,000.

The district says the technology money has paid for a device for every K-12 student, replacing the oldest devices on a rotation, plus network and Wi-Fi upgrades.
