Background
The district says it has relied on an operational referendum for about 20 years and that the current one expires at the end of the 2026-27 school year; this question would renew it.
The district administrator's August 2026 newsletter said the Board of Education would vote on the final renewal language at its August 17 meeting.
The district calls itself a low-revenue district and says state revenue limits have not kept pace with rising costs.
The district projects its mill rate at $7.93, $7.82 and $7.78 over the three years, compared with the current $7.85, and states an estimated increase of $240 a year on a $300,000 home.
