Background
Measure DD was placed on the ballot by the San Bruno City Council, according to the City Attorney's impartial analysis.
In 2005, San Bruno voters approved an initiative adding Chapter 6.50 to the Municipal Code, which permits the limited sale, use and discharge of state-approved 'safe and sane' fireworks.
A yes vote would amend Chapter 6.50 to prohibit the sale, use and discharge of safe and sane fireworks in the city; a no vote keeps the current limited sales and use. The measure needs a simple majority.
