What it does
SHALL BALLOT ISSUE 5B, UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED BY SEVEN VOTERS AT A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 04, 2014, BE FOREVER REPEALED AND RESCINDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, WHICH BALLOT ISSUE CURRENTLY AUTHORIZES NORTH RANGE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT NO. 3 TO LEVY UP TO $20,000,000 ANNUALLY IN AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE CAPITAL COSTS OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; SUCH REPEAL AND RESCISSION SHALL NOT IMPAIR OR ADVERSELY IMPACT PERFORMANCE UNDER ANY EXISTING VALID AND LAWFUL CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS OR INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS, BUT SHALL PREVENT ENTERING INTO ANY FUTURE MULTIPLE FISCAL YEAR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS TO FUND CAPITAL COSTS THAT ARE NOT SUBJECT TO ANNUAL APPROPRIATION OR ANY FUTURE TAXES FOR NEW CAPITAL PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHOUT SPECIFIC VOTER AUTHORIZATION?
A YES vote means
Ballot Issue 5B from 2014, which lets the district levy up to $20,000,000 a year in property taxes for capital costs of public improvements, would be repealed; existing contracts would not be affected, but new capital taxes would need specific voter approval.
A NO vote means
Ballot Issue 5B from 2014 would remain in effect.
Needed to pass
A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
Left–right lean
Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).

The YES and NO lines are SpectrumVote's plain-language reading of the official text above; the official text is what you vote on.
