Left–right lean
Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).

Background

The district says the $3,900,000 would pay for a synthetic turf field at Lewis S. Mills High School along with track and field improvements, ADA-accessible grandstands built into the hillside, lighting, drainage and fencing.

Question 4 offers a $3,100,000 engineered natural grass field instead; the district says Questions 3 and 4 are mutually exclusive, and if both pass, the one with more yes votes goes forward.

If neither passes, the district says it will still need to resurface the track and the long jump and pole vault areas.

In a community Q&A, the district says construction for either field would be expected to begin in summer 2027 and turf maintenance costs are expected to be comparable to current costs.

Put on the ballot by Regional School District No. 10 Board of Education (date and vote not found on the district site; public hearing held August 31, 2026).
