Background

The DuPage High School District 88 Board of Education approved placing this $118 million bond question on the ballot at its August 10, 2026 meeting, according to the district.

The district says the decision followed a facilities assessment by its architectural firm and a year of community engagement, and that the work would cover security, infrastructure, accessibility and career and technical education spaces at Addison Trail and Willowbrook high schools.

According to the district, existing referendum debt is scheduled to end after levy year 2026, so the new bonds would replace that debt without a net increase in the tax rate.
