Results: the official election results site. Counts are unofficial until certified.
- What it does
- Shall the Cross Gates Subdivision Crime Prevention and Neighborhood Improvement District ("District") be authorized to levy and collect an annual parcel fee of $150 on each improved and unimproved parcel within the District for a period of 10 years, beginning in 2027 and ending in 2036, as provided in La. R.S. 33:9097.42 with the proceeds of the parcel fee to be used to aid in crime prevention and to add to the security of the District residents by providing for an increase in the presence of law enforcement personnel and to add to the betterment of the District by providing for beautification and other improvements (an estimated $11,700.00 is reasonably expected to be collected from the initial collection)?
- A YES vote means
- The Cross Gates Subdivision district would charge a $150 yearly fee on each parcel from 2027 through 2036 for added law enforcement presence, beautification and other improvements.
- A NO vote means
- The district would not charge this $150 yearly parcel fee.
- Needed to pass
- A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
- Left–right lean
- Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).
