Election night: live results from the official election site. Counts are unofficial until certified.
- What it does
- Shall Article III, Section 1(b), of the Charter of the City of Broadview Heights be amended to provide that no person shall hold the office of councilperson for more than three (3) consecutive four (4) year terms or twelve (12) consecutive years; and that terms served prior to the effective date of this amendment shall not be counted?
- A YES vote means
- No one could serve as a Broadview Heights councilperson for more than three consecutive 4-year terms or 12 consecutive years, not counting terms served before the change.
- A NO vote means
- The charter would not add this term limit for councilpersons.
- Needed to pass
- A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
- Left–right lean
- Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).
