Background

According to Winton Woods City Schools, the Board adopted a resolution of necessity on June 22, 2026, then voted unanimously on July 27 to take the second and final step placing the 6.95-mill operating levy on the ballot.

The district says this is its first new operating levy request since 2009. It says money from the 2016 bond issue, its last voted measure, can be used only for capital expenses, not staffing or daily costs.

The district cites state data showing it spent $1,242 less per pupil than the state average in 2025. It estimates the levy, which would start in January 2027, at about $20.25 a month per $100,000 of appraised value.

Put on the ballot by Winton Woods City School District Board of Education, July 27, 2026.
