- What it does
- SHALL THE TOWN OF ALBION LEVY A ONE-YEAR EXCESS PROPERTY TAX OF $20,000, AN ESTIMATED $0.459 PER $1,000 OF 2026 ASSESSED VALUATION, FOR FIRE PROTECTION, LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES, EMERGENCY RESPONSE, AND OTHER LAWFUL PUBLIC SAFETY PURPOSES FOR THE TOWN OF ALBION FOR COLLECTION IN 2027?
- A YES vote means
- The Town of Albion would levy a one-year property tax of $20,000 (an estimated $0.459 per $1,000 of assessed value), collected in 2027, for fire protection, law enforcement, emergency response and other public safety purposes.

- What it would cost
- 0.459 mills (estimated): $45.90 a year for every $100,000 of taxable value (a mill is $1 per $1,000). Taxable value is after exemptions such as homestead; your tax bill or property appraiser shows yours.
- Needed to pass
- A 60% supermajority: at least 60 out of every 100 YES and NO votes must be YES, so a measure can get a majority and still fail.
- Left–right lean
- Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).
