Quick answers
- Who are my local elected officials in Georgia?
- Enter your address at spectrumvote.com to see your county commissioners, county officers, school board and city council, with your own district's members marked. Or pick your county below: 1,014 elected bodies and 1,914 seats across 159 counties.
- What local offices are elected in Georgia?
- Each county elects a board of commissioners (or, in a few counties, a sole commissioner), a clerk of superior court, probate judge, sheriff and tax commissioner, and in most counties a coroner and surveyor, for four-year terms; commission seats are staggered. County races are partisan, though many probate judges and school boards are elected on a nonpartisan ballot in May. Athens-Clarke, Augusta-Richmond, Columbus and Macon-Bibb have consolidated governments with a mayor and commission. Cities elect a mayor and council, and each county elects its board of education.
