Ballot measure · November 3, 2026

What it does
Shall the Parish of Pointe Coupee, State of Louisiana (the "Parish"), be authorized to continue to levy and collect a tax of 1/4% (the "Tax") in accordance with Louisiana law, for a period of 10 years from July 1, 2027 (an estimated $1,150,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year), with the proceeds of the Tax (after paying the reasonable and necessary costs and expenses of collecting and administering the Tax), to be used solely for capital improvements, maintenance and operation of the Pointe Coupee Parish Health Services District Number One?
A YES vote means
Pointe Coupee Parish would continue a 1/4% sales tax for 10 years from July 1, 2027, only for Pointe Coupee Parish Health Services District Number One.
A NO vote means
The parish would not continue the 1/4% sales tax for the 10 years from July 1, 2027.
Needed to pass
A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
Left–right lean
Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).
