Cuyahoga County Issue 65 — Village of Oakwood: Proposed Charter Amendment
Ballot measure · November 3, 2026 · Oakwood voters
Election night: live results from the official election site. Counts are unofficial until certified.
- What it does
- Shall Section 7.14 of the Charter of the Village of Oakwood be amended to remove the requirement to post ordinances and resolutions at an additional public location within the Village, and eliminate the Clerk’s duty to certify the location of the postings, while retaining postings at Village Hall and on the official Village website?
- A YES vote means
- Oakwood would stop posting ordinances and resolutions at an extra public location and drop the Clerk's duty to certify posting locations, while still posting at Village Hall and on the village website.
- A NO vote means
- Ordinances and resolutions would still be posted at the additional public location, with the Clerk certifying the postings.
- Needed to pass
- A simple majority: more than half of the YES and NO votes on this measure must be YES. Leaving it blank doesn't count either way.
- Left–right lean
- Not a left–right issue: a procedural or local question that liberals and conservatives don't typically split on (AI read of the official ballot summary).
