Background
On July 20, 2026, the Riverview City Council unanimously approved Resolution No. 26-12, submitting the bond proposal to the November 3, 2026 election, according to the draft July 20 minutes included in the council's August 3 agenda packet.
The resolution states the bonds would pay for road improvements throughout the city, including water main replacements, and that the maximum principal amount of debt expected to be issued for the project is $10,000,000.
The resolution estimates a 2027 levy of 2.5211 mills and a simple average annual rate of 2.5229 mills to retire the bonds, and appoints Miller Canfield as bond counsel and Bendzinski and Company as municipal advisor.
