Background

Manor Ordinance No. 827 orders a November 3, 2026 special election on Charter amendments recommended by the city's Charter Review Commission. It is one of four Charter propositions, A through D.

Proposition C changes one word in Section 7.01(i), the city manager's duties. The duty to "insure" that terms and conditions of public utility franchises and other franchises or contracts are faithfully kept would instead read "ensure."

The ordinance says the amendments take effect when adopted by voters and the council enters an order declaring them adopted. The council passed and approved it on August 5, 2026.

Put on the ballot by Manor City Council, vote not stated in the posted ordinance, August 5, 2026 (Ordinance No. 827).
