What it does

A NO vote means

Background

According to the order, Sunfield Municipal Utility District No. 2 was created by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality order dated June 27, 2005. Its voters previously authorized water, sewer and drainage bonds in May 2007 ($12,465,000) and May 2018 ($160,300,000).

The board found that $279,500,000, in addition to bonds already authorized, is a reasonable estimate of what it will cost to extend the district's water, sanitary sewer and drainage systems.

The order estimates the tax rate needed to support the bonds at $1.20 per $100 of assessed valuation.

Put on the ballot by Sunfield Municipal Utility District No. 2 Board of Directors, all present voting aye, July 21, 2026 (Order calling the November 3, 2026 election).
