Background
According to the Franklin County Board of Elections notice, Gahanna City Council passed the resolution placing this amendment (Resolution 0031) on the ballot on July 20, 2026.
The full text posted by the Board of Elections says the change to Section 10.01 is meant to provide internal consistency and to address a City Attorney vacancy created after petition deadlines for a municipal election.
It says the changes to Section 10.03 provide grammatical corrections and internal consistency, and move the City Attorney's reporting to the end of the year so an incoming City Attorney is not obliged to report on a predecessor's term.
